Please keep in mind the four priorities we set at the beginning of this transition…ġ. We’ll be sharing more about what that looks like in the weeks to come. As we head into 2023, our transition process will enter a new phase. We will be carefully watching and evaluating how our current leadership team and structure is functioning throughout this transition season. As you know, back in September our Elders decided to pause the launch of our Lead Pastor search to focus on an orderly rollout of our transition organization and the handoff of these responsibilities. In the meantime, Chad has been gradually handing off many of his key operational leadership responsibilities to our CVC Team. Pastor Chad has had some great conversations with a handful of churches, and he is still prayerfully seeking the Lord for His next calling. We wanted to share a brief update with you on the status of our Lead Pastor transition. Let’s continue to remain prayerful, protect our church family from disunity, stay focused on the mission and vision of CVC, and honor the Allen family and each other! Overall, we praise God for answered prayers on a leadership transition that has been smooth and healthy to date. They remain extremely grateful for our prayers and encouragement as they keep praying and seeking God’s will for their next ministry calling. Pastor Chad and Rica continue to prayerfully engage ministry opportunities in the west so that they can be closer to family, and have interacted with multiple churches. The Elders and Decision Team will continue to monitor, assess, and make any needed adjustments to our plans, processes, and vision implementation. Chad has settled into a good rhythm of monitoring and coaching us toward a smooth leadership transition. As you may be observing and sensing, these teams continue to operate well since Pastor Chad shifted his operational and directional leadership responsibilities to the team in January. The Elder and Decision Teams continue to meet and communicate frequently around prayer, planning, and the leading of our staff and congregation. The reality is that there are not a lot of new things to report this month, but we believe in the value of regularly communicating and keeping you informed. We just wanted to keep you all up to date on our senior leadership transition.
